Beneath its rich Bordeaux exterior lies a filling system rooted in Kaweco’s history. The Kaweco Sport was first introduced as a piston filler in 1937 under the name #612, and today’s PISTON Sport brings this traditional mechanism into the iconic pocket-sized Sport design.
Ink is drawn directly from the bottle into the pen’s integrated chamber, removing the need for cartridges or a converter. Its clever compact mechanism holds approximately 1ml of ink – more than a standard international cartridge – while the smooth-running piston makes refilling quick and easy. Filling directly from the bottle also gives you access to an extensive choice of bottled ink colours.
Despite its generous ink capacity, the PISTON Sport remains compact at just 10.5cm when closed and approximately 13cm when posted, making it ideal for everyday writing and taking on the go.
The Kaweco PISTON Sport AL Bordeaux Solo is supplied as the writing instrument without additional ink and is presented in Kaweco’s distinctive round nostalgic tin, which also features an integrated stand for displaying the pen upright.
